I’m going on a 5-day juice fast starting tomorrow so I needed to get rid of these vegetables I had been using for my salads last week for lunch. I decided to turn them into a snack.
- Red onions
- Yellow bell peppers
I seasoned it with olive oil, nutritional yeast, and black pepper.
I use nutritional yeast for sauces especially faux “cheez” sauces. It also has a cheesy like flavor. One serving is 20 calories, 3 grams of protein, and 1 gram of dietary fiber. I always am looking for protein sources so that’s why I like this. Kind of expensive but you can find it in the organic isle of any grocery store you go to!
