Thursday Workout

My body decided to apparently decided to have insomnia last night (maybe it was from all of that metabolizing from the grapefruit juice) but basically I couldn’t go back to sleep really after I woke up at 3am.  Sucks.  After laying in the bed for 2 hours, I told myself I might as well use this time to do something productive and get my workout out of the way for the day.

Here was my work out

  • Upper body (3 sets, 8 reps) – reverse curls ¦ Upper body (3 sets, 8 reps) – shoulder shrugs
  • Lower body (3 sets, 8 reps/leg) – lunges ¦ Lower body (3 sets, 8 reps) – wide leg squats
  • Core (3 sets, 10 reps) – weighted side bends ¦ Core (3 sets, 20 reps) – weighted ab twist
  • Cardio (3 sets, 30 jumping jacks ¦ 3 sets, 60 high knees)
  • Upper body (3 sets, 10 reps) – tricep dips ¦ Upper body (3 sets, 10 reps) – push-ups
  • Lower body (3 sets, 8 reps/leg) – side squats ¦ Lower body (3 sets, 8 reps) – squats
  • Core (3 sets, 10 reps/side) – full body twisting/windmill abs ¦ Core (3 sets, 10 reps) – seated, weighted crunch on medicine ball
  • Cardio (3 sets, 60 mountain climbers ¦ 3 sets, 60 butt kicks)
  • Upper body (3 sets, 8 reps/arm) – sitting bicep curl on medicine ball ¦ Upper body (3 sets, 8 reps/arm) – shoulder press
  • Lower body (3 sets, 8 reps) – bent over row ¦ Lower body (3 sets, 8 reps) – toe raises
  • Core (3 sets, 10 reps/side) – standing weighted side bends ¦ Core (3 sets, 10 reps/side) – standing weighted crunch
  • Cardio (3 sets, 60 running mans ¦ 3 sets, 60 second football shuffles)
  • Upper body (3 sets, 8 reps) – skull basher ¦ Upper body (3 sets, 8 reps) – dumbell fly *done in conjunction with each other
  • Lower body (3 sets, 8 reps/leg) – toe raises sitting on medicine ball ¦ Lower body (3 sets, 16 reps) – dumbell throw
  • Core (3 sets, 10 reps) – long arm weighted crunch ¦ Core (3 sets, 10 reps/side) – seated twisting ab crunch *done in conjunction with each other
  • Cardio (1 set 30 jumping jacks, ¦ set 60 high knees, 1 set 60 mountain climbers, 1 set 60 butt kicks, 1 set 60 running mans, ¦ set 60 second football shuffles)
  • Additional 5 minutes of cardio (because I got done early)

It felt good to be done with my physical activity for the day already.  I just wish I had the motivation/knew how to go to sleep early enough to do this all the time.
